12/22/2022

Our partners at the University of Luxembourg and Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) are organising the upcoming hybrid conference “Precision Medicine in Parkinson’s disease: past lessons and conquering new frontiers”, which will take place on 26 & 27 January in Luxembourg and online.

This scientific conference is the third of a series of meetings organised by the trilateral network Luxembourg-German-Indian Alliance on Neurodegenerative diseases and Therapeutics (Lux- GIANT). This alliance was founded in 2014, and aims to pursue trans-ethnic genomic studies in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease (PD).

The 2023 conference is organised by PD experts and key drivers of the Lux-GIANT community: Prof Rejko Krüger from the LIH & University of Luxembourg, Prof. Asha Kishore from India, and Dr Manu Sharma from University Hospital Tübingen. Prof. Krüger also co-leads the EPND workstream on cohort interactions, engaging and involving neurodegeneration research cohorts in the EPND platform, case studies and more.

The conference is hosting several high-profile international speakers and participants, covering a broad range of topics including the clinical phenotyping, genetic stratification and functional genomics of PD. Academic researchers and clinicians will discuss research breakthroughs and the latest clinical developments in the PD field.
