Biomarker research

Register for our second public webinar of 2025: Advancing biomarker science with EPND

06/25/2025

EPND invites you to the second webinar in its public series on Thursday 10 July, between 15:00–16:00 CET. This session will spotlight the science being driven by EPND's platform for data an biosample sharing, with a focus on the ATN biomarker case study. The webinar is ideal for cohort leads, data custodians, clinical researchers, and anyone interested in contributing to or using the EPND Hub.

Hosted by EPND co-Lead Pieter Jelle Visser (Maastricht University), the session begins with a brief introduction to EPND’s case study approach, followed by a deep dive into the goals, design, and data harmonisation process behind the ATN study. The resulting dataset - now accessible via the EPND Hub - offers valuable insights into biomarker discovery in neurodegenerative disease.

Rejko Krüger (Luxembourg Institute of Health) will present findings from the NCER-PD cohort, and Sophie Mutel (University of Geneva) will share contributions from the gMAD-COSCODE cohort, both highlighting collaboration and future research plans in their focus areas of Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease. Attendees will learn how to explore datasets and biosamples, request access, and analyse data securely on the EPND Hub. The session will close with a Q&A and a discussion on how to access EPND support and services.

Don’t miss this chance to hear from scientific leaders and learn how to collaborate within EPND’s growing research ecosystem!
