An article on EPND has been published in the Frontiers in Neurology journal, part of a special issue on the impact of IMI-funded, public-private, collaborative research on Alzheimer's disease. The article was co-authored by EPND leads Niranjan Bose (Gates Ventures), Tony Brookes (University of Leicester), Phil Scordis (UCB Pharma) and Pieter Jelle Visser (University of Maastricht), on behalf of the EPND consortium.

Entitled "Data and sample sharing as an enabler of large-scale biomarker research and development: the EPND perspective", the article examines key challenges currently hampering large-scale biomarker research and outlines how EPND plans to address them. The article also explains how EPND will enable an environment of faster and more disruptive research on diagnostics and disease-modifying therapies for Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.
